Project DescriptionIn chemistry, we made food but changed one thing about it. It could've been the ingredients, the time, it was cooked for etc. In humanities, we learned about where our food comes from. This is about how corn is in literally everything, poor animals are slaughtered in humane and inhumane ways, and how organic food is made differently from non-organic food.
Because this project was interdisciplinary, I felt a lot more pressure to create something amazing. I like having my classes separated and I enjoy doing different projects. That being said, I really thought about what I was putting in my pancakes for the chemistry project because of what we learned in humanities.
Because of this project, I really think about what I eat. I only eat organic meat, but as you can see in my essay, I don't think it is necessary to eat all organic fruits and vegetables. I look at how much corn syrup is in my food a lot.
